Osun - Three states in the country are known to have bird flu following the outbreak, farmers have been told to put security measures in order to prevent their poultry from being infected, Punch reported.
The Poultry Association of Nigeria has warned farmers to put up security measures such as making efforts to disinfect their farms and immunize their birds.
However communities have been warned that the situation is under control and should not worry about the matter becoming an epidemic as only three states Lagos, Kano and Rivers State have been affected so far.
Farmers have been given the necessary information of what to do and PAN has committed to do everything in it's power to control the influenza.
