Katsina - No fewer than twelve people collapsed at the Katsina State rally of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, reports NewsDay.
Among the victims were four policemen drafted to the venue of the rally to maintain peace.
Some of the victims had been standing for hours under the sun and the heat and stress apparently took a toll on them.
The rally, which was scheduled to commence at 10a.m at the Polo ground did not start until 4.30p.m.
Some of the victims were taken to hospital for treatment after they collapsed while others were revived by sympathisers who fanned and poured water on them.
